Waste Water Solutions

There are 3 main factors affecting membrane fouling in MBRs: membrane choice, operating conditions, characteristics of feed and biomass.

ClearQ

ClearQ

ClearQ is equipped with our new ZENmbr technology to significantly decrease energy consumption with a proven track record.

ClearQ is a submerged membrane with an outside-in hollow fiber membrane system and a maximum pore size of 0.02 μm, which cuts off suspended solids, colloid, bacteria, viruses and giant molecule organic matter.

ClearQ has been designed for Membrane Bioreactors (MBR) and tertiary water treatment applications. The smoothness of the membrane surface results in an increased resistance against fouling. The smoothness also increases the effectivity of aeration, which gives ClearQ a low energy consumption. The ClearQ membranes can be operated at very low pressure, due to the improved hydrophilic material.

Our new model has been designed with a strengthened membrane fibre and a high packing density. The special coating increases its resistance against damage and fouling. With 280 N on 1 fiber, the fibers have a very high tensile strength and are striping resistant to 600 kPa. The pores have been equally distributed and have a full sponge structure. With a pH range of 1-13, the membrane has a high chemical resistance. Due to the heightened hydrophilicity, one drop passes the filtration layer within 60 seconds.

The characteristics of ClearQ enable the extension of periods in between chemical cleanings. Our membrane cassette consists of membranes modules, high quality 316L frames, air diffusers and a permeate aeration pipe. The ClearQ is furthermore highly suitable for retrofits and has a small ecological footprint.

FlatQ

As the first PVDF membrane in the market, FlatQ offers the latest innovations in terms of durability and efficiency compared to regular polyolefin membranes.

The FlatQ is a microfiltration membrane with an asymmetrical pore structure of 0,1 micron, manufactured from PVDF, with a high chemical resistance. The membrane has a pore structure that guarantees good permeate quality and high productivity.

Its smooth surface ensures low filtration reluctance and an excellent anti-pollution ability. The membranes are easy to clean and backwash is therefore not necessary.

The FlatQ is easy to replace, which makes it ideal for retrofit of FlatQ as well as other flat sheet systems.

PureQ

PureQ

PureQ’s asymmetric membranes enhance flow efficiency, leading to lower energy consumption.

PureQ has a pore size of 0,01 micron and is widely used to separate bacteria and viruses or to reject colloid and suspended particulates from surface water and seawater. PureQ can also be applied as pre-treatment for RO, industrial re-use and industrial wastewater treatment.

PureQ uses PVC alloy UF membrane technology. The membranes are made of improved PVC and are therefore hydrophilic, pollution-proof, acid- and alcohol-resistant. PureQ membranes achieve a strong reduction in operational costs, due to the high productivity under low pressure. The evenly distributed openings result in high precision.

PureQ is also high-flux, has a long-lasting stability and a strong pollution control. For a short period of time PureQ even functions in an environment with 200 p.p.m. residual chlorine.

PureQ has been successfully applied for the removal of aerosols, colloids and microbes from water. Under high water pressure, water and other small molecules penetrate the ultrafiltration membrane, while aerosol, colloid and primeval microbes are blocked on the inner surface of the membrane. Suspended particles, colloids, bacteria and macromolecular organisms are repelled by the small opening in the UF membrane fiber.

Goalkeeper

Goalkeeper forms a solid, reliable and very competitively priced defence against bacteria, viruses and fungi.

Goalkeeper forms a solid and reliable defense against bacteria, viruses and fungi through ultrafiltration (UF). Due to its 0,01 micron pores, Goalkeeper removes 99,99% of viruses and 99,9999% of bacteria. It has been equipped with automatic cleaning and with a pH of 1-13, it has a high chemical resistance.

Goalkeeper can be employed for disinfection, but also for the realization of zero emission. This product has been tested by KWR, Dutch Water Research institute and qualified for use in the Horticulture.
